OUR KIVA STORY

The Impact Guild is a community of changemakers. Collaboration and community are central to who we are. For that reason, one of the first things we get to do together is invest into other entrepreneurs around the world.

$25 of each member’s first month’s rent is given back in the form of a Kiva giftcard. This giftcard can be used to give a loan to the entrepreneur of your choice, empowering them to start a business, pursue an education, or support their family. We want our members to become invested in the global community of entrepreneurs.

KIVA microloans (in their own words) is “an international nonprofit with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. 100% of every dollar lent through KIVA goes toward funding loans — celebrating and supporting people looking to create a better future for themselves, their families and their communities.”

You have complete freedom in who you invest in and why — But we’d love to help you get started! By linking up to our Impact Guild KIVA team you can see where others have invested and track our impact over time.

LENDING GUIDE

Questions to Guide Your Investment

1. Is there a community, city, or country that’s close to your heart?
2. Would you like to support an entrepreneur who’s doing similar work as you in a different part of the world?
3. Do you feel strongly about empowering refugees, women, or single parents or supporting a business looking to expand?
PRO TIP: you can also filter by loans that are expiring soon or that are almost fully funded.
