JUSTICE AND EQUITY BY DESIGN

THE IMPACT GUILD TOOLKIT

The Impact Guild Toolkit is a collection of resources designed to help you and your organization grow as a changemaker. We start from an individual and personal journey, identifying our passions and talents. Then we move to a communal and organizational lens, identifying how we work with others for the flourshing of our communities.

Rooted in design thinking and asset-based community development, the toolkit is designed as a set of resources for the community or organizational leaders who are looking to take a group on a journey deeper into stewarding their resources for their communities. We believe that institutions and communities should work for everyone. We believe that everyone should have a seat at the table. We believe that everyone has something to offer and every community is full of assets. We believe that we can design better communities together.

Changemaker Storyguide

The Changemaker Storyguide is a reflective journaling journey to discover how your greatest passions can meet the world’s greatest needs. How do I find meaningful work? How do all of my skills, passions and experiences fit together? Where is God leading? Can I make enough money and do something with purpose?

The workbook and workshops will lead you through a series of questions and activities to help you clarify your passion by revisiting moments of your own story and thinking about what you love to do. Then, you’ll use that clarity to define the possibilities of designing a life of actively doing good in your community. The Changemaker Storyguide is available for individuals or organizational groups.

Good Neighbor

Good Neighbor is a resource designed for groups who want to take a deeper dive into their neighborhoods — to know the people in your community and to actively engage design challenges together. Taking the framework and bringing your own context to life, Good Neighbor will help your community work together through Guided Conversations, Immersion Experiences, Asset Mapping 101 and the Action Project Roadmap to find the solutions and assets from within your neighborhood.

The Good Neighbor Fieldguide is for those who want to engage in thoughtful conversation and actively address the injustices they see right outside their door. Become a learner and a contributor in pioneering creative and sustainable ways to empower people and restore communities.

Good Futures Accelerator

Good Futures Accelerator is a nine-month accelerator activating mission-driven entrepreneurs to catalyze their impact for good. Good Futures Accelerator is a dynamic and proven course that empowers congregations to align money and mission by exploring how to creatively use their church buildings and property to further their mission and build financial resilience.

The cornerstone of the Accelerator is the Good Futures curriculum developed by Rooted Good. Participants will join a cohort of other changemakers across San Antonio and will experience this program in community with each other.

Good Acres

Good Acres works together with churches to gain a new imagination for how underutilized property can be activated for the good of the community. Projects such as cafes, community gardens, daycares, coworking and affordable housing — With the right project born out of an understanding of the congregation’s mission and the community’s needs.

A collaboration of real estate professionals, investors, community organizers and church and denominational leaders — Good Acres hosts a network of faith leaders in regular Roundtables and also consults on the pre-development phase of projects to help churches to realize the full potential of their underutilized property for community good.
