Strong facilities and healthy outdoor spaces are the foundation of climate-ready neighborhoods, and this month's Climate Ready Neighborhoods network meeting is all about taking stock of what you have and planning what comes next. Whether you're a Communication POD rooted in a congregation or community space, a Resource POD thinking through supply distribution and shelter capacity, or a neighbor who cares deeply about the homes and businesses on your block, Buildings & Landscapes is everyone's resilience area. Together, we'll work through the Building & Landscape Audit, a hands-on tool that helps your POD assess your facilities and outdoor spaces across all three preparedness modes—Everyday, Disruption, and Recovery—and identify your most urgent priorities for water resilience, hazard mitigation, and ecosystem health.
Come ready to hear directly from other PODs about the upgrades and improvements they're working on, and connect with Resource Partners who are already tackling the building and landscape challenges your neighborhood faces. This is a critical milestone on your Resilience Plan Roadmap—an evening when big-picture priorities start to become concrete projects. We encourage you to bring your Buildings & Landscapes Coordinator, or someone on your POD Core Team who has an eye for your space and a vision for what it could become. You'll leave with a clearer picture of where to focus, what resources are available, and the shape of your next steps.
